"New" PQRI EHR Measure Specifications The specifications for the submission of eleven PQRI measures electronically via an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system are available at www.QualityNet.org by clicking on "PQRI" from the drop-down menu under the "Physician Offices" tab. The availability of these specifications at this time does not mean that EHR-based submission of these measures will be accepted for reporting or incentive payment purposes for 2009 PQRI even if the measures are included in the 2009 PQRI program and reportable using the claims or registry options. PQRI 2008 The 119 quality measures, including 2 structural measures, specified for 2008 PQRI were published by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) 2008 Final Rule on November 1, 2007. The 2008 PQRI Measures List is available in the "Downloads" section below. The 2008 PQRI Measure Specifications, originally posted on November 16, 2007, have been updated. The complete final specifications for the 2008 PQRI measures are available in the "Downloads" section below. The details of the changes made for 2008 PQRI from the 2007 PQRI Measure Specifications are described in the document entitled " 2008 PQRI Quality Measure Specifications Release Notes Version 1.2," which is available separately in the "Downloads" section below. 2008 Test Measure Set From July 1, 2008, through September 30, 2008, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will accept data submission on Part B Professional Services claims for eleven new quality measures. The data will be used to evaluate the measures to help us plan for future PQRI measure sets. There will be no financial incentive payment associated with the reporting of these measures. Also, eligible professionals choosing to submit quality-data codes per the specifications for these measures will not receive individual reporting or performance feedback. The document "2008 Test Measure Specifications" (see "Downloads" section below) provides additional information on the 11 new test measures. The 2008 Test Measure Specifications have been updated. The details of the changes to the 2008 Test Measure specifications are described in the document entitled "2008 Test Measure Specifications Release Notes Version 1.0" which is available separately in the "Downloads" section below.
